Influenced by artists such as José Gonzales, London Grammar and Bon Iver, you can describe BLEU ROI’s signature sound as atmospheric, truly immersive dream pop, combined with Singer/Songwriter expression. It is equally infused with the fine veins of melancholy and the throbbing heartbeats of unconditional joie de vivre.
BLEU ROI consists of the siblings Jennifer Jans (vocals, keys, songwriting) and Imogen Jans (keys, backing vocals) and Axel Rüst (guitar, backing vocals) and Stefan Rüst (drums). The band with American and Argentinian roots has already released two albums, "Dark/Light" (2019) and "Of Inner Cities" (2016). In 2013, it was the EP "Treasures" that first put the band on the local indie music map. Over the past ten years BLEU ROI have played numerous shows and achieved several milestones such as performances at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, at the Im Fluss Festival Basel, in Augusta Raurica as support of Woodkid, a full headliner tour through Germany as well as concerts in New York and Italy.

«Seagulls»
"Deserts and Seagulls" is a contrast in itself, yet closely connected. Where there is a desert today, there used to be water. “I picture the seagulls flying over the coast of California, where we used to visit my grandparents as children,” says Jennifer Jans. “And at the same time I feel the almost unbearable heat of the red desert landscape just a few miles away. A place where I love to go in my mind. A place that always takes me back to solid ground.”
