Blind Boxing is a five-piece emo-revival outfit from Northeast Ohio that originally emerged in 2018 when brothers Jake (guitar, vocals) and Zac Finley (drums, vocals) recruited friends they’d known since middle school to compete in their high school’s battle of the bands. Building on the groundwork laid by legends from Hot Mulligan and Turnover to Taking Back Sunday and Blink-182 and beyond, the band have distilled their influences into a high-energy sonic identity defined by fast punk guitars, driving drums, and flying synthesizers, earning them a diverse and growing fanbase. Now with a sold-out album release show, a slot at Akron’s iconic PorchRokr Festival, and a second EP “death fight for the couch,” under their belts, Blind Boxing are preparing for their biggest year yet.
