New York-based noise pop act BLUFFING was formed in March of 2012 by drummer/vocalist J Boxer and guitarist/vocalist Olivia Drusin; the original mission statement for the band was never to let a song pass the two-minute mark, keeping things concise and catchy. The group's sound was as heavy with hooks as it was feedback, and they soon expanded to include second guitarist Sammy Weissberg, and they rotated between bassists Charlie DY and Madeline Black.
