When the COVID-19 lockdown cost him his job, South Florida-raised, Chicago-based rapper Blvck Svm decided to release a series of biweekly singles as a last-ditch effort to jumpstart his music career. The first single of that series, “bleach,” released March 2020, caught fire a few months after its release and completely changed his trajectory. In December 2021 Svm became a full-time artist, and since then he has amassed more than 100 million streams from over 15 million listeners worldwide.

In November 2024 he released “michelinman,” his debut album inspired by haute cuisine and fine dining. Alongside the album came a video series titled “Bvck of House” for which he filmed live performances for each song on the album in restaurant kitchens across 11 North American cities.

Soon after releasing “michelinman” he launched a dinner series to showcase the album in the environments that inspired its creation, as well as to further highlight the intersection of high-end food and rap music. Since January 2025 he has completed 14 dinner collaborations with restaurants in the US, Canada, Switzerland, Poland, Portugal, and Sweden.
