Boar Taint began in early 2019 in New York City. The name originally referred to the unpleasant odor found in certain cuts of pork, known as “boar taint,” which the band’s sole member, Max Pierce, once relied on for sustenance because of its affordability. History, however, had other plans, and Boar Taint eventually came to embody something much more simple yet carnal: the perineum of a boar, the space between the genitals and the anus.
Following the release of the internationally recognized Existence of Infection, issued as a micro CD by Old Grindered Days Records in Brazil, Boar Taint went on to produce four splits and a single, the latter now considered lost.
After four years of inactivity, Max Pierce revived the project in 2025, recruiting Vladimir Gorovic on bass, Christiano Dominguez on drums, and Gordon Stolski on rhythm guitar. With this new lineup, Boar Taint is set to release its long-awaited full-length debut Tainted for Life. On November 21, the single Leftover Crackling was released, showcasing a caustic blend of punk rock and grindcore that signals either a new brave chapter… or an embarrassing swan song?
