Bob found himself on a journey most kids only dream about - Making friends with the not yet famous Bobby Darin & being Managed by a newcomer named Don Kirshner
BOB found himself singing Doo Wop in a group called THE RAIDERS
They Recorded Several Songs on BRUNSWICK and ATLANTIC RECORDS
BOB wrote MY STEADY GIRL & WALKING THROUGH THE JUNGLE
BOB also wrote RAIDERS FROM OUTER SPACE with AL Lewis & Herb Abramson
After High School BOB enlisted in the USMC - While still Serving His Country BOB wrote his song WOODEN SOILDER -
When his 4 years were up BOB moved to the Anaheim area of Sunny California where he soon formed a Group called JUBAL’S CHILDREN & Recorded Songs like
THE BOMB - WOMENS’ WORLD - & YOU DID IT BABY
BOB also had a Group called BOB CHANCE & THE BUCCANEERS
The Buccaneers had an offer to tour with Bob Hope & the USO but had to turn it down because some of the Members didn’t want to quit their “day jobs”
In 1980 BOB CHANCE recorded his Album IT’S BROKEN & has had a “cult type following” ever since - DJ Shadow (seeing the Album Cover) called it “Hairy Forearm Disco”-Legendary Andrew Weatherall (during an interview ) held up the Album & said “Some Amazing Tracks in here”
BOB CHANCE’S Song HONEY LIPS has received a lot of attention in recent years as well as WILD IT’S BROKEN & THE BOMB
