Peter Temple, stage name Bobo Shanky was born and raised In Enugu State, in the Eastern part of Nigeria. He is from a family that enjoys music, though his own interest in music wavered. When the music bug finally bit, he finally gave in to his calling and started to make music. Bobo Shanky did not have all the resources to pursue music, but he later decided to go out of the conventional 9 to 5 way to support his passion but rather became an entrepreneur and made money to invest into the music.
His journey into the music industry saw him tap into various genres until he decided to focus solely on hip hop as the main genre of music – to him Hip Hop is not just a genre, but a way of life and it goes in line with who he is as a person and his beliefs.
Shanky debuted his first project in June 2022 where he featured Cool Prince and Razz.
Shanky sources inspiration from his own life experiences and those of his friends. He is also influenced by various artists whose style of music is not limited to one genre or sound. His personality and uniqueness are reflected in his lyrical content and thus offer a unique sound and experience to his followers.
