Since choosing Music as a passion and dream to be pursued in 2019, SNR Morris debuted his love for vulnerable street rap with his 2019 single (Son Of the Ghetto) which was a cover to Sam Smith’s ‘Pray’ and Letter 2 God (from the Certified Ghetto Papi Mixtape) which basically were an expression of the self and environment at the time.
Born Shaibu McClinton on 08 May 2002, in Auchi Edo State Nigeria, and raised by his Grandmother from age 5 in Benin City, SNR Morris was influenced greatly by the western Hip Hop and Rap culture more than the African Afrobeats culture (as he vividly expresses with his ‘PAIN DELUXE’ MIXTAPE) but being a product of the African environment, he learned to Mix the Western Hip hop culture with an expression of his African environment and found a sense of love for the Modern Trap Music Genre.
Not disregarding his versatility SNR Morris loves and chooses to stick to the Rap genre but also diversifies his talent and creativity by working on other genres of music as his dedication is not only to a genre but to ‘Music in general’ and in his words, “Music is more than art, Music is an expression of life itself”.
