Hailing from the uncommon town of Leucadia CA, Boilermaker began playing together in the early 90s. Comprised of members Terrin Durfey (Vocals, Bass), Rich Sanderson (Guitar) and Tim Semple (Drums), the trio issued several singles, appeared on multiple compilations and by the late 90s had produced three full-length albums: Watercourse (1995), In Wallace's Shadow (1996) and Untitled (1998). After a short hiatus, the band regrouped to tour, record and release a compilation of songs under the title Leucadia (2001).

On October 28, 2008 Terrin Durfey passed away after a long battle with cancer.

In 2022, Numero Group began digitally releasing Boilermaker's long out-of-print and hard to find catalogue.
