Bojana Vunturišević was born in Požarevac on 6 March, 1985, she rose to prominence as the lead singer of the indie-pop band Svi na pod!. After releasing two studio albums with the band, Vunturišević decided to pursue a solo career in 2015.
Her debut album, Daljine (Distances), was released in 2017 and attracted critical and commercial acclaim for lead single "Kese etikete" (Bags, Labels).
In June 2019, she released single "Promašaj" (Failure) before taking a hiatus from recording new music. With "Money" produced by Coby in May 2021, Vunturišević made her comeback and announced her sophomore album, titled Sama (Alone).
Vunturišević describes her style as "capitalist blues" and draws from indie pop, trip hop and dancehall influences.
She has also written songs for other regional artists such as Nataša Bekvalac, Sara Jo, Franka and Senidah.
