On their brand new album - "Baby Dry My Tears" - Brussels-based post-jazz pop quartet Bombataz eagerly tackles eclectic indie rock.

Their first full album, "Olympics of Love" bounced in every direction and they sang in four different languages to illustrate their metropolitan existence.

On this second, the reins may have been pulled a little tighter and they still occupy purely English, which obviously adds to the cohesion. The album is often dramatic or languorous, but always contrary and without the tendency to please by doing what you think you want to hear but telling you how it should be done. Feeling, emotion, passion and everything else that could pass for that is at the heart of this record. "Baby Dry My Tears" guarantees a laugh and a tear. And then another tear. Followed by a hysterical burst of laughter, an anxious ducking away, an edgy return, and all often within the same song.

Bombataz was born when jazz students Vitja Pauwels (guitar, voice), Hendrik Lasure (keyboards), Ruben De Maesschalck (bass) and Casper Van De Velde (drums) discovered that their common love for music is not limited to jazz, but to literally all genres. Their first EP '¡Kapao!' was released in 2019 by Fake Records.
For their first full album, Olympics of Love (2020), they developed a more mature sound. Expect positive vibes with weird twists and occasional tear-jerking...
