London-bred GRAMMY-nominated band, BONES UK are vocalist/guitarist Rosie Bones and guitarist Carmen Vandenberg, who unapologetically speak their truth and combine the disconnect between the status quo and the glorious world inside their heads through heavy rock riffs and rough-edged electronics.
Rosie and Carmen confront everything from the beauty industrial complex to toxic masculinity to music-scene sexism, embedding each track with choruses primed for passionate shouting-along. With their galvanizing energy and relentless joie de vivre, BONES UK offer up an album that’s both provocative and endlessly exhilarating, even in its most outraged moments.
They released their self-titled debut album in 2019 earning them their first GRAMMY nomination in Best Rock Performance for the highly acclaimed song, “Pretty Waste” and the cover of David Bowie’s “I’m Afraid of Americans,” which accumulated a total of 66M+ streams worldwide to date. The anthemic album magnifies beauty complexity, toxic masculinity and music-scene sexism with empowering lyrics. Rosie and Carmen were free to record the album anywhere in an avant-garde form such as in cars, bathrooms, and basements to capture a specific sound and vision unique to BONES UK. They went on and released UNPLUGGED in 2020 that included 5 fan favorite tracks from the debut album, stripped down with an accompanying short film.
