Nashville based and Midwest bred while drawing comparison from their contemporaries, Borderline Natives' lyrical content relates to those who have ever felt lost or that they never belonged and anyone who’s experienced heartbreak or a loss of unity. started in 2018 by Frontman, Kevin Barry and bass player Bobby Groesbeck, Borderline Natives got their first bit of momentum playing local clubs in Nashville, Tennessee the group became a more permanent lineup with the addition of Brandon Funera in 2023 and Guitarist Seth Ray in 2025

After a few single releases including Two Rivers and their intimate Live Session at Common Man Studios, Borderline Natives announced their debut full length album, An Endless Struggle For The Proper State Of Mind in 2020 the band paired that announcement with the release of the albums' first single Best Intentions followed by the albums second single, Real Ones.

After two years of supporting their first record, the band returned in 2024 with their sophomore effort Welcome To Eastlandia a record that displayed a more emo centric sound along with their 2025 single release BLOOD SWEAT SUGAR which explores a melodic emo sound as well
