Bostich is an alias employed by Mexican electronica producer Ramón Amezcua, best known for his affiliation with <a href="spotify:artist:7rAlT8ekkzP9ScdBbBkRou">the Nortec Collective</a>. Amezcua began working as Bostich in 1988, releasing the album Elektronische (1994) on the label Opción Sónica; even earlier, a couple of his productions were compiled on the Vinyl Communications compilation Below San Onofre (1992). During the mid- to late '90s Amezcua collaborated with fellow <a href="spotify:artist:7rAlT8ekkzP9ScdBbBkRou">Nortec Collective</a> affiliate <a href="spotify:artist:1KWbwHiICZtfB6YLXHSzHs">Pepe Mogt</a> (then a member of the Mexican industrial band Artefakto) on the electronica project Monnithor, ultimately releasing some of their collaborative productions on the Mil Records compilations Nortec Sampler (1999) and Nortec Experimental (2001). Beginning in 1999, Amezcua and <a href="spotify:artist:1KWbwHiICZtfB6YLXHSzHs">Mogt</a> worked together as contributors to <a href="spotify:artist:7rAlT8ekkzP9ScdBbBkRou">the Nortec Collective</a> -- a collective of Mexican electronica producers whose style fused norteño with techno (hence the term "nortec") -- and their individual productions as Bostich and <a href="spotify:artist:3msyOqmauohWU7cd1tgLBi">Fussible</a> were featured on the albums The Tijuana Sessions, Vol. 1 (2001) and Tijuana Sessions, Vol. 3 (2005). Then in 2008 they released the collaborative album Tijuana Sound Machine, billed to "<a href="spotify:artist:7rAlT8ekkzP9ScdBbBkRou">Nortec Collective</a> Presents <a href="spotify:artist:0t6Z7PDF2cUpM805A0Y7sJ">Bostich & Fussible</a>." ~ Jason Birchmeier
