After trading a corporate banking career for a microphone and a one-way ticket to Los Angeles in 2021, he’s since carved out a uniquely signature sound and path that are both playfully defiant and deeply human.
Since emerging, he has earned editorial support on Spotify (Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds: Pop, Fresh Finds: Indie), amassed over 4 million streams across platforms, and independently built a loyal global fanbase.
Writing, producing, and recording every track himself, Boyu turns sticky choruses and intimate storytelling into an evolving scrapbook of growing pains, late-night thoughts, and the beautiful mess in between.
His catalog includes two self-released albums—the indie-pop leaning 'Flower Garden' (2022) and the alternative rock-leaning 'Octane' (2023)—with a third full-length project, tentatively titled 'BOYU 3.0', set to drop in late 2025.
