BPad is a producer and guitarist currently based in Oakland, California. Having moved around considerably growing up including stops in Alaska, Burlington and Philadelphia his music is largely inspired by the places he’s lived and traveled. BPad’s sound is colorful and genre defying as it blends elements of Hip Hop, Jazz, Rock and Electronic into a cohesive experience.
A graduate of The University of the Arts BPad received a BM in Jazz Performance in 2013. A long-time member of the band ILL Doots, he has performed, recorded and produced for artists including: Homeboy Sandman, Zeek Burse, Khemist, A.Rob, Aliah Sheffield and many others. He recently completed a Masters degree in Music Production and Technology at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain.
BPad’s forthcoming album Light Shift is a project dedicated to new beginnings and changes in perspective. It is about being open to learning and not attaching too strongly to old habits of creating and living. It is positive, hopeful and energetic and meant to make the listener think and move. It was written and inspired by his studies and experiences while living in Valencia.
