Brent Thomas Mills, a multifaceted artist, producer, director, and DJ, embarked on his musical journey at the tender age of seven, mastering the piano by ear. By twelve, he had joined a drum & bugle corps, and at fourteen, he embarked on his first tour. His early achievements culminated in becoming a Latin dance champion at seventeen. Brent's formal education includes the prestigious Berklee College of Music, specializing in Piano Performance, and Brigham Young University, in Composite Dance.
Brent's innate ability to synergize music with movement was discovered during his time at Brigham Young University. Hired swiftly to accompany modern and ballet classes, he realized he could observe choreography and almost instantly create corresponding beats, rhythms, and melodies. This unique talent led him to work with renowned institutions such as the Martha Graham School, Alvin Ailey, and Doris Humphrey, where he honed his skills further.
Moving to New York City opened up a plethora of opportunities for Brent. He began designing and evolving music for dancers, dance companies, studios, and competitions, quickly rising to prominence. His expertise was sought after on a national level, eventually leading him to direct music for dance competitions globally, from Costa Rica to London, Dubrovnik, Shanghai, Tokyo, and many more.
Touring 43 weeks a year, Brent has immersed himself in a world where dance and music celebrate each other in beautiful harmony.
