Born and raised outside Trenton, NJ, Brian Scartocci was steeped in soul from birth - Philly radio stations beaming through transistor radios were as good as medicine from a dropper to a shy, tender-hearted boy with a kind spirit but low patience for pretense. That music, those lyrics and the feel of it all carried him through a life that meant to beat the shyness and tenderness from him and by the time he reached Austin, TX in the mid 2000s, he was on his way to becoming something bigger, brighter, louder. "The Brian Scartocci" carried the man from local acclaim to national stages and reputation for leaving everything he had under the heat of incandescent stage lights. Flashy suits, dynamic performances, sweat, splits, torn clothes, falls into the audience and a unrelenting grind defined the next two decades as Scartocci became an ever-present force in the ATX soul scene.

Even at his most explosive, Brian sang for the same reason he always had: to make someone feel less alone. His recent work moves with a different gravity - patient, inward, steady. The voice is still powerful, but the temperature has changed, the truth sits closer to the surface. His songs, from the gentle ache of “Over the Moon” to the bare, warm honesty of “Everflowing,” carry the fingerprints of a man who has known joy, loss, fatherhood, doubt, resilience and time. Brian sings with the weight of memory and the hope that refuses to die. His music is soulful, human, quietly haunted, always honest.
