Bridgett ‘Bridgez’ Roache
Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. The melodic singer and songwriter Bridgett ‘Bridgez’ Roache had a passion for music from as early as 11 years old. She began in the church choir and soon after she started recording demos on her computer. At the age of 16 she became a part of a group called ‘3 Wishes’ managed by Norman ‘Doom’ Chambers, the son of Jimmy Cliff. As years progress Bridgez decided to leave the group and embark on her solo career.
In 2011, she released her collaboration with the dancehall giant Bounty Killer entitled ‘Roll Out’ on the ‘World End Riddim’ produced by Jah Snowcone. This single lead to her rise to stardom followed up by ‘No Any Man’ produced by Payday Productions. She performed at several local shows but gained a fan base that spanned throughout the Caribbean.
Bridgez is focused more now than ever as she continues to recreate her style. Under the alter ego ‘Baretta’, Bridgez has released new dancehall singles with a rap flair such as ‘Faded’ (2019) and ‘Upset’ (2019).
