Berlin-based duo Brigade returns with their sophomore effort, having spent the intervening years refining their approach to sample-based composition. Where 2022's "Hard Times, Soft Music" established their credentials as purveyors of comfort food electronics, „Unlimited Dreams Corporation“ finds the pair digging deeper into the archives, constructing elaborate sonic collages from decades of discarded records.
While Brigade continues to hold down dancefloors across Berlin with their house-heavy DJ sets and the occasional club-ready EP, their album work occupies a different headspace entirely. Here, they operate in domestic territory, creating music designed for private listening rather than collective communion. Their meticulous sampling techniques recall the golden age of crate-digging culture, but filtered through contemporary anxieties about wellness capitalism and manufactured transcendence. The duo's commitment to physical media continues with a vinyl pressing on Laut & Luise.
Unlimited Dreams Corporation is out now on vinyl and digital.
