Bright Moments

Bright Moments is the solo project of Kelly Pratt, in-demand brass and wind player for bands such as <a href="spotify:artist:4gzpq5DPGxSnKTe4SA8HAU">Coldplay</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:066X20Nz7iquqkkCW6Jxy6">LCD Soundsystem</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:6pmxr66tMAePxzOLfjGNcX">Beirut</a>. Pratt had previously stepped out as leader of <a href="spotify:artist:4VDGqdw2vo0Mow8GiSNarg">Team B</a>, but life on the road restricted recording to whatever he could accomplish on a laptop in his hotel room between shows. Wanting to create at his own pace and without the other limitations of a tour schedule, he formed Bright Moments and by winter 2010 began recording track-by-track by himself in his Brooklyn apartment, later recruiting his musician friends from <a href="spotify:artist:6pmxr66tMAePxzOLfjGNcX">Beirut</a>, Akoya Afrobeat and <a href="spotify:artist:0K1q0nXQ8is36PzOKAMbNe">Spoon</a> to help flesh out the sound and assist with the production.
