Hands' brand of synthesized chamber pop was emotive enough to earn them a spot on Time magazine's "11 Bands You Don't Know (But Should)" list in 2012. Starting as a Philadelphia duo, Geoff Halliday and Ryan Sweeney met Sean Hess and Alex Staniloff in Los Angeles, where they set up shop and started recording.
