I don’t need to go on and on about this because you all went to school, and schools have History books. Suffice it to say, Brohan made history when they took second place in the MN State Fair Talent Show in 2009 and they haven’t looked back since…
UNTIL I, (Josh Putnam) decided to look back.
Look all the way back to Minnesota for a couple family reunions and a Bluegrass Festival this summer. Look back to my best friends back home, look back at Brohan.
And 13 years later, we all still have hair.
Our Flagship (Best-Selling) Song: Evasive
Before the band broke up (A very familiar tale if you did better than a C in History class) in 2010, we met with famed local music producer Dan Deurloo who worked with artists like Vince Gill, Amy Grant, MercyMe, Nick Carter, A.J. McLean, Brandon Heath, The Afters, Mandisa – and even earned a pair of gold records for his work on Chris Tomlin’s And If Our God is For Us and MercyMe’s The Generous Mr. Lovewell..
Our plan was to help Dan REALLY hit the Big Time, recording Brohan’s (likely) Platinum record. Or whichever metal is better than Gold, who really cares, we were just trying to help Dan feel better about his career anyway.
So, as you can imagine, it was a great feeling to spend 3 days in Dan’s gorgeous analog studio - recording our very first song titled, “Evasive”.
