Multi-instrumentalist BROWNIE was born into a musicians family, his father being the solo violoncellist of the Frankfurt Opera House and his mother a piano teacher.

He started learning classical piano at the age of 4 and added electric bass and guitar as a teen. In his early 20s he studied at the M.I.T. in Los Angeles, and lateron worked as musician, f. e. live on german TV with <a href="spotify:album:2KNl0wUewzJH6PpGVK9TJR" data-name="Patricia Kaas">Patricia Kaas</a>, and as studio musician (keys, g, b, perc), arranger, sound engineer, producer and assistant producer for <a href="spotify:artist:2TvWRRw5EFTbGryv1IbFM0" data-name="Aziza Mustafa Zadeh">Aziza Mustafa Zadeh</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:69Nf3BcltVI8usMR1DDd3n" data-name="Anna Maria Kaufmann">Anna Maria Kaufmann</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3mLsiMwE2N1bn1zKErOBMt" data-name="R. A. Ramamani">R. A. Ramamani</a> and many other artists.

With his own band, including musicians from <a href="spotify:artist:4vWQjpI68kWBNkXOEbi1D6" data-name="Rainhard Fendrich">Rainhard Fendrich</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2gMAioN7m2k5XulfNClMRB" data-name="Klaus Lage">Klaus Lage</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4yUuiPLpM0jviqL2DJf9M0" data-name="Pe Werner">Pe Werner</a>, he was on stage f. e. with legendary <a href="spotify:artist:3csSQdDVhJlP3BUOoZ2N2H" data-name="Mother's Finest">Mother's Finest</a>.

Since July 2023 BROWNIE cooperates with the german jazz label MONS RECORDS to release his own soulful music, which is based on Funk, Soul & R&B and inspired by <a href="spotify:artist:3YR92OLKlvkK5oKNekSqXe" data-name="Al Jarreau">Al Jarreau</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3rfgbfpPSfXY40lzRK7Syt" data-name="Barry White">Barry White</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0hE3uA2w3guHeKvuc7BpRr" data-name="Deodato">Deodato</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7aRi9OzdA2ciputfuguaPK" data-name="Larry Carlton">Larry Carlton</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:19y5MFBH7gohEdGwKM7QsP" data-name="Luther Vandross">Luther Vandross</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2AOt5htsbtyaHd5Eq3kl3j" data-name="Maxwell">Maxwell</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2hdpXvaQJHBCZIVUd6cLvK" data-name="Lonnie Liston Smith">Lonnie Liston Smith</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6R9Mv0bgGE4Tqxna1q5Mrj" data-name="Roy Ayers">Roy Ayers</a> - to name just a few.

BROWNIE‘s tracks reached top positions in international smooth jazz charts and „morning walk“ earned > 1,800,000 streams worldwide.

BROWNIE’s album <a href="spotify:artist:2kG9P9odoXgPx77C9xqhbQ" data-name="GROOVAZ">GROOVAZ</a> - OCEAN DRIVE (duo with saxophonist Vladimir Strecker) containing 12 tracks has also been released by MONS Records.

BROWNIE also is an internationally awarded landscape and architecture photo artist. In 2018 he was awarded as ARCHITECTURE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR.
