Santa Monica-based singer-songwriter Bryan Kelley began his training in music at a very early age. First picking up the ukelele while living in the Phillepines at the age of four, he would soon switch to playing guitar. Connections to the grunge scene in Seattle (he is has played with <a href="spotify:artist:7njqqUBXHc5fpyXmUlfOUL">Mike McCready</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6AaWik9LKRViQFnIK2PSI9">Stone Gossard </a>of Pearl Jam ) didn't provide much creative inspiration for Kelley so he headed south to California where he thought he might get a better reception for his slightly edgy brand of spiritual folk-rock.
