After amassing a large audience following his appearance as a 2009 XXL Freshman, Bunkiee went on to release a total of 5 albums during the year 2010 just narrowly being surpassed by <a href="spotify:artist:4bbjivSh1oG4NOc7uYHfw5" data-name="Lil B">Lil B</a> (THEBASEDGOD the hardest working rapper ever anywhere tybg).
Following the release of his 5th album in late-2010 Bunkiee took a 6 year hiatus, returning with his collab album ‘12 to 6’ with UFC Hall of Famer “Jon ‘Bones’ Jones”.
On the evening of February 30th in 2017, Bunkiee was killed during a shootout with Albuquerque Police after a nationwide manhunt for his arrest in suspicion of 27 RICO violations, federal conspiracy to manufacture and distribute a controlled substance, eight counts of money laundering and accessory after the fact to multiple murders, including federal officers Hank Schrader and Steven Gomez.
