Burly Gates

Burly Gates is an indie rock band based in Chicago. Originally formed by Josh Pelletier, Lucas Lopresti, and Sergio Argueta, the band reached its final form with the addition of Brad Earl and Vince Schiller.

Being released on 67 Records, their debut EP “Funeral Party” was recorded with engineers Jeremy Killross (Gremlin Studios), Barrett Guzaldo (Treehouse Records), and Brad Earl (Comfort Zone).


Featuring tracks with notable artists like Danny Wells ( <a href="spotify:artist:027TpXKGwdXP7iwbjUSpV8" data-name="The Walters">The Walters</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:6HpevOHTIBtfGvtlKuXcYc" data-name="Corduroy">Corduroy</a> ) and art by <a href="spotify:artist:5XVGqcRQqs7uXt2D8wTEf3" data-name="Cadien Lake James">Cadien Lake James</a> ( <a href="spotify:artist:1xD85sp0kecIVuMwUHShxs" data-name="Twin Peaks">Twin Peaks</a> ) Burly Gates stylings have evolved from an unfinished garage sound into a polished indie texture, soaked with reverb, cascading melodies, and evocative lyrics each with the purpose of telling a story. 

With influences from their favorite bands such as <a href="spotify:artist:1W4itxt3vwhmrgLEBuVHJ6" data-name="Vundabar">Vundabar</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:1xD85sp0kecIVuMwUHShxs" data-name="Twin Peaks">Twin Peaks</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:29q1axQPERERxUzqufXMqB" data-name="Together Pangea">Together Pangea</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:3qYfqdVwX0fil71onLpLkh" data-name="Thee Oh Sees">Thee Oh Sees</a>, Burly Gates has released several previews of songs which will be showcased on their debut EP, Funeral Party.
