Active since their founding in 2004, BUSHFIRE approach 20 years together looking only forward. Their fourth album, 2018’s ‘When Darkness Comes’ found the internationally-born, Darmstadt-based heavy rockers embracing aspects of the blues, heavy metal, stoner rock and beyond in heavy styles, focused always on songwriting and saying something worth taking the time to say, instrumentally and lyrically.

In 2020, BUSHFIRE offered ‘Live at 806qpm’ as a remedy for times prohibiting actual concerts, and put emphasis on their stage presence and delivery. Respected veterans in the crowded German underground, they’ve shared stages with the likes of Orange Goblin, Mos Generator and My Sleeping Karma, played at festivals such as Stoned From the Underground, Desertfest Berlin, and Freak Valley, and toured abroad throughout Europe.

While moving toward their fifth full-length and a follow-up to ‘When Darkness Comes’, BUSHFIRE are resolute in their DIY approach and individual in their sound, having dug out their niche by hand and carved the tenets of heavy rock and roll into a shape of their liking. As to where that album might take them, the obvious answer is wherever the hell they want. That’s been the heart of their approach all along.
