As the son of a German mother and a Barbadian father, Munich-based beat producer and MC C-Ras began his musical journey on the bass-guitar at the age of 11, expanded his repertoire with various percussion instruments at 15 and found his way to beat production through breakdancing and DJing. Inspired by Madlib, J-Dilla, Pete Rock and many others, he has shaped a unique style that unfolds not only in hip-hop, but also in other genres. His versatility makes him a sound artist who wants to create vivid images in the minds of his listeners, comparable to an action comic.
