Calcutá, also known as Teresa Castro, is a Porto-based composer and multi-instrumentalist who delves into the worlds of folk and experimental ambient music. She co-founded the band Mighty Sands in 2013, with whom she released two EPs and toured Europe. In 2015, under the moniker Calcutá, she embarked on her solo journey with "Love Path Again" and followed up in 2017 with the EP "Over Night." She is also the founder of Savage Ohms, an experimental-drone band, and has composed the soundtrack for Solange Freitas' "Real Dog." Teresa has collaborated with artists such as Steve Gunn, The Legendary Tigerman, Filipe Sambado, April Marmara, among others. After a long hiatus, Calcutá is returning to the stage to present new sounds from her upcoming album.
