Caleb Jacobs is an Australian composer, producer, and electronic music artist whose work spans film, television, and contemporary music. His compositions merge acoustic instruments, electronic textures, and cinematic sensibilities to create immersive, narrative-driven soundscapes.
He began his recording career as Plum, releasing the Black Doris EP on French label Beko Disques. The lead single, Pavement, was featured on US indie label Citrus City’s compilation and supported by Triple J and community radio.
As Cale, he co-wrote and produced Cheap Distractions with Moody Beach, appearing on RÜFÜS DU SOL’s tastemaker playlist Headphone Selections. He has collaborated on artist projects and live shows, co-producing Babitha’s EP Through the Light, contributing to Isabella Manfredi’s Plan B score, and arranging guitar for Le-Pie’s Room of One’s Own.
As a film and TV composer, Caleb scored The Longest Weekend, which premiered at the Sydney Film Festival and won Australian Feature of the Year at the Melbourne Queer Film Festival, and composed the theme for Channel 7’s Made in Bondi. He has also created music for brands including Mitsubishi Electric and Lorna Jane.
His upcoming single Aunties — out 28 November 2025 — blends electronic production with live instruments and cinematic textures. Built around nylon-string guitar, strings, drums, and field recordings from the streets of Penang, the track explores human connection and a sense of community in a fast-moving world.
