OK! Has always been, and still is, about snake like guitar leads and rhythmic synths. Dancey, hooky, and laid back. A place where Brian Eno, African Head Charge and Fleetwood Mac are allowed to share a mutual musical vision with the Swedish west coast archipelago functioning as an inspirational canvas.
For Oktoberklubben, getting their caravan renovated into a studio on wheels became a way to cope with a pandemic life full of boredom. In Swedish wildlife reserves they started to sketch on the mushroom scented album Caravan. Fueled by morning swims and pure creative joy in the woods. Turns out other people were bored too and contributions to the album come from musicians in Buenos Aires, Borås and everything in between.
Previous praise:
“Stunning breezy disco from Gothenburg. Recommended!” – PHONICA
“Oktoberklubben manages the work of art to sound hypermodern and retro at the same time!” – HYMN
“‘Everyday’ is a total banger in the Balearic frame. The bassline comes on like ‘My Jamaican Guy’ and the world vibes roll. The B-side has ‘Un Universo Para Los Dos’. A groove that sounds very Studio-esque in many ways. Down-low and quality.” – TESTPRESSING.ORG
“'Everyday' kicks off as a organ-jam, but explodes into a liberating dance floor banger” – SR P3 (Swedish national radio)
