born and raised in St. Louis, MO, my innate inclination towards songwriting revealed itself at the ripe age of 8 years old — yes I still remember all the lyrics. I started classical guitar lessons at 6 (which likely provides you context for why I play the way I do…I can’t escape the fingerpicking & I don’t wannaaaa) and started writing poetry around then as well. the two soon blended and I began writing “real” songs at 13.
I moved to California in 2018 and have been swimming up the Los Angeles art stream ever since (not really but, in short, yeah).
in this whole music thing, I’m just trying to be as honest & as vulnerable as possible in a way that honors the world around me. truth and beauty are what I’m after (maybe they’re the same thing ..??? hmmmm).
collaborating with my insanely wonderful & unsurpassably talented friends is my favorite part of this whole thing. I could do none of this without them. TYJ.
