Hailing from the City of Discovery, Dundee’s Callum Gibson has become one to watch in Scotland’s buzzing music scene.
What started as a solo, acoustic singer-songwriter project has since grown into a full-throttle four-piece band, bringing with it a much louder, rawer and more evocative sound.

Since the transition to a band set up in 2023, Gibson & co have leaned into big dynamics and restless energy, drawing comparisons to the likes of Radiohead and Wunderhorse. The release of Gaslight in May 2023 proved to be a breakthrough moment — earning a spot on Spotify’s Scotify playlist for several months, racking up over 6,000 streams, landing BBC Radio Scotland airplay and catching the attention of critics, with This Is The Music calling Gibson “a force to be reckoned with.”

Their debut EP Perceptions, released in November 2024, was met with strong support and kick-started work on what came next. A Fresh Start marks a new chapter for the band, pulling together four tracks that grew out of their live shows and showing off both the edge and growing confidence of a band honing their sound.

After spending 2025 tightening and shaping their live set, Callum Gibson and the band are hitting their stride — and it’s clear they’re only just getting started.
