Since picking up an acoustic guitar at the age of 15, Jamie Button has been writing songs and performing constantly ever since. His early musical years saw him play in bands in the Glasgow music scene, honing his craft and gaining valuable experience playing venues such as ABC1, King Tut's and the Barrowlands.
Since then, Jamie has toured up and down the country, from the Isle of Skye to Liverpool's iconic Cavern Club. Support slots with Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Fratellis, Mark Morris, John Power and Shed 7 - just to name a few - have ensured Jamie has shared the stage with some of Britain's finest musicians.
Throughout his career Jamie has garnered media attention including numerous favourable single and EP reviews from national newspapers, radio airplay from BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio Scotland, and many more.
2020 ended in a bang with the release of acclaimed hit single Flashbang, which reached No.3 in the iTunes chart and caught the attention of reviewers and radio stations across the country. 2021 releases 'Told You Things' and 'Strange Saints' received similar positive national press reviews and peaked at No.2 and No.3 respectively in the iTunes charts.
2022 single 'Whatever Happened to Adventure' was featured on national radio such as BBC Scotland's 'Billy Sloan Show' and in the national press, notably featured in the Daily Record.
Debut album 'Lost in Local Life' is out now. The album was launched at a headline show at Glasgow's King Tut's on 3/9/22.
