Calum Foad is a 25-year-old synth-pop artist, hailing from Reading (UK), who has been singing and playing guitar since childhood. Calum quickly developed industry support, writing and recording on both sides of the Atlantic, with producers such as Dan Weller (Enter Shikari, Nina Nesbitt) and grammy nominated Marc McClusky (Weezer, Motion City Soundtrack) - subsequently releasing songs such as ‘You & I’ and ‘Rollercoaster’, and carving out an 80s fuelled synth-driven sound in line with his long standing affinity for the music of that decade.
Following a successful stint at the start of 2020 writing and recording in LA with producer Nate Merchant (Jason Derulo, Flo Rida, Sam Martin), he returned with a clutch of captivating new songs, kicking off in May 2020 with the uplifting “Hope”. 'Hope', together with its Kelvin Wood remix, garnered over 100k streams and growing media support. His fresh new take on Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" - with Futose (Zara Larsson) on remix duties - followed with similar success and featured on dozens of dance playlists. With the recent release of a Charlie Lane remix of "Rollercoaster " he continues to build his fanbase in advance of the release of his more 80s influenced original new tracks, starting with the classic synth pop of "High", on May 28th. a nod to Vince Clarke's work with Erasure and Yazoo, Calum creates his own spin on the very music that shaped his outlook.
