Cantabile Regensburg
Cantabile Regensburg performs a cappella music from the Renaissance to the Modern era according to the stylistic conventions specific to each musical epoch. Cantabile has gained wide critical acclaim due to its homogeneous and bright sound. Numerous awards collected at renowned national and international choir competitions document the ensemble's high standard. Cantabile Regensburg has been conducted by Matthias Beckert since 2002. Since then contemporary choir literature has earned a high significance. The choir has recently focused on numerous CD productions and produced first recordings of choir pieces by contemporary composers such as Heinz Werner Zimmermann, Zsolt Gárdonyi, Carl Rütti and Wolfram Buchenberg.
