Carlene Crawford grew up in the PNW in a very musical home. Her dad, a singer and musician, inspired her passion for music at a young age. She classically trained in piano for seven years. At the age of eight, she began writing her own songs and playing by ear. Her biggest influences include Vanessa Carlton, Norah Jones, John Mayer, Coldplay, Angus & Julia Stone, and Corinne Bailey Rae. In 2015 she started producing and recording her music after relocating to San Diego- those songs became New Ground. Carlene Crawford & The City Lights including Chris D’Abreau, Levi Jess, and Dan Ryan are a local Seattle indie-pop band.
