Josh grew up jamming with his sister Leah and playing music with his closest friends around local Austin venues. Gradually dialing in his improvisational skills, the early years consisted of him learning hits from all eras, and eventually began to resonate with blues, funk, and jazz.
Josh developed a passion for music production in his early teens, and ended up at college in New Orleans where he was quickly humbled by the incredible music talent there. He found incredible musicians to play his songs with him, and eventually had the opportunity to headline a festival at Tipitinas with long-time collaborator, <a href="spotify:artist:2962wRvd0OxtKSE1c22dSr" data-name="Teaj">Teaj</a> in 2020.
Covid returned Josh to Austin, and while continuing to produce his own projects, he began teaching students of all ages. Teaching has brought his game to the next level, and check out his socials justjoshingg_ for more info.
