Carnavacation

カルナバケーションは、東京を拠点に活動するバンド。シンガー、ソングライター、プロデューサー、編曲家、マルチインストゥルメンタリストと、多彩な背景を持つメンバーで構成されている。 渋谷のクラブシーンからリオデジャネイロの路上音楽、90年代J-POP、トロピカリア、MPB、ネオソウル、現代的なダンスミュージックまでをルーツに持ち、ジャンルを横断するアプローチで“ありそうでなかった”ポップミュージックを探求。「生活感のあるファンタジー」を軸に、夢と現実のあいだを描くリリックと、緻密かつ遊び心のあるサウンドが特徴で、2015年の結成以来、ライブの現場を大切にしながらも、NHK『おかあさんといっしょ』など教育番組への楽曲提供も行い、世代を超えて親しまれている。 バンドでありながらもコレクティブな機能も持ち、音楽だけでなく、ビジュアルやアートディレクション、企画制作までを横断的に担っているのも特徴のひとつ。ポップスというフォーマットを軸に、あらゆるカルチャーを越境することを目指している。

Carnavacation is a Tokyo-based band formed in 2015, made up of singers, songwriters, producers, and multi-instrumentalists with diverse musical backgrounds. Their sound blends influences from Shibuya’s club scene, Rio’s street music, 90s J-POP, Tropicália, MPB, neo-soul, and modern dance music. Centered around the theme of “everyday fantasy,” their songs explore the space between dreams and reality through playful, intricate arrangements. While known for their energetic live performances, they also create music for educational programs like NHK’s Okaasan-to-Issho, earning fans across generations. More than just a band, Carnavacation works as a creative collective, handling their own visuals, art direction, and production. With pop as their foundation, they continue to cross genre and cultural boundaries in all aspects of their work.
