For Caro Trischler, music is a powerful escape, offering a positive refuge from reality. Growing up in a non-musical household, a piano found its way home by chance, sparking a lifelong journey. At five, piano lessons began, followed by a passion for singing and self-taught guitar skills. Influenced by indie rock bands like Paramore, Caro spent countless hours immersed in music, leading to early performances and band experiences.
At 17, a move from southern Germany to Berlin marked the beginning of an exciting chapter, including reaching the semifinals of The Voice of Germany in 2013 and a nationwide tour. However, the spotlight of the pop world felt disconnected from the true essence of music. Seeking authenticity, Caro turned to jazz studies at the Mainz School of Music, finding a space to experiment and reconnect with the joy of music.
Jazz, folk, soul, and Brazilian music became significant influences. A 2017 concert ignited a deep love for Brazilian icons like Antônio Carlos Jobim and Elis Regina. Immersing in Portuguese, Caro Trischler performed Tom Jobim's "Luiza," marking a pivotal moment.
After the debut album North e Sul (2020), a blend of North and South American pieces, the journey continued with original songs on the upcoming album When You Know You Know, produced with Ulf Kleiner, set for release on May 2, 2025.
