Caroline’s recording career includes the solo cello music for the films ‘Hilary and Jackie’ (about the life of Jacqueline du Pre), ‘Truly Madly Deeply’, ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’, ‘Pride and Prejudice’ and ‘Atonement’. In 1995 she formed the band ‘Ghostland’ with John Reynolds and Justin Adams and recorded for the Warner and Instant Karma labels.
As a string arranger and cellist she has worked with U2, Oasis, Joan Armatrading, Sinead O’Connor, David Gray, Belinda Carlisle, Squeeze and Simply Red. She has toured extensively with a range of artists including David Gilmour, Sinead O’Connor, David Gray and most recently U2, conducting her own arrangements for them at the Hollywood Bowl.
Her album ‘Such Sweet Thunder’ is a masterpiece which seamlessly combines her extraordinary arrangements of classical repertoire with her own wonderful compositions.
