Carry On

Carry On is the solo project of Anthony Marecek, an indie artist from Waterloo, Ontario. Though Carry On officially launched in 2024, Anthony has been making music since 2016 and playing since the age of seven. He began his musical journey on the guitar but quickly mastered the bass guitar, drums, and various other instruments. He plays every instrument heard in his tracks, showcasing his multifaceted talent.

Carry On’s sound is deeply rooted in indie (showcased in his first single Clara), but Anthony loves exploring a wide range of genres, including folk (showcased in Verona Ave), rock, pop, and more. Influenced by artists like Briston Maroney, The Backseat Lovers, Cage the Elephant, Caamp, and many more, his music reflects a blend of storytelling and emotional resonance.

Anthony’s goal with Carry On is to create music that not only tells his own stories but also allows listeners to craft their own narratives, finding a personal connection within each song. With a passion for music that began in childhood, Carry On is committed to making music for as long as he can, sharing his heartfelt and eclectic tracks with the world.
