Catbug is the nom de plume of Paulien Rondou. Living on a small farm near Antwerp, Belgium, she finds melodies and words for her songs in the trees and the fields of the flemish countryside around her. For her new album, she was greatly inspired by the many beautiful birds living around the farm, and how their calls and their funny habits never fail to invoke a sense of lightness and feeling at home in the world. Furthermore, the love for birds made Paulien look at her own story, and venge deeper into the inner forest of our lives, describing what she discovers there in the forms of soothing melodies and contemplative lyrics.

Catbug's third album will be out later this year on the Belgian indie label On The Level.
