Catherine Clarnette studied Music Education and Jazz Music at Edith Cowan University, completing her principal performance studies in jazz voice at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. A passionate music educator, she loves working with young musicians, and maintains an active recording and performing schedule. Performance highlights include the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, Euro Disney in Paris, and Perth’s Fringe World Festival. Catherine has released five studio recordings.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Music from Edith Cowan University, as well as a Master of Educational Leadership from the University of Western Australia. In addition to her role as a secondary school Music Teacher, Catherine is a Senior Tutor and conductor with the Australian Girls Choir, and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy through the Graduate School of Education at the University of Western Australia.
