In 2016, we were born as 'Upon the Ocean,' died as 'Downeaster Alexa' in 2020, and resurrected as 'Cauterized' in 2022. With fast riffs, progressive tempo changes, and penetrating shouts, we aim to fuse old-school metalcore with modern scene sounds. Our name 'Cauterized' signifies that everything in life shapes a person, and everyone has the chance to learn from their scars and take the best from them. This ideology, packaged with lyrical metaphors, historical comparisons, and our love for the fantastic, forms the foundation of our lyrics. With these songs, we aim to move the scene, inviting audiences to embark on a musical journey with us.
