CECIL’s compositions display a lifetime of absorbing music that spans many decades and demographics. Raised on guitar-music, predominantly that of 60s Psychedelic Rock, 70s punk and heavy metal from the 90s-00s, CECIL took a left turn of his own accord after moving to Manchester by divulging into British Nu-Jazz, Hip-Hop, Grime and multiple Electronic sub-genres. Whilst the latter styles are certainly more prominent in CECIL’s production, he has clearly not lost touch of his roots, and manages to forge the strong backbeats of both UK and US hip-hop with beautiful melodic phrases that make for music that transcends immediate fashion.
