CEZAR
Born with Maroon heritage into a musical Jamaican family, Cezar’s father co-founded Ashanti & Bamboo Records in London. The London born - Jamaican raised singer-songwriter has captivated fans with his insightful lyrics & beguiling melodies.
His releases have found rotation on stations across the Caribbean and worldwide including BBC, XM Radio, Sirius and many others.
Collaborators include Tony Kelly, Steven ‘Lenky’ Marsden, Delano Thomas of Renaissance, Al’borosie, Jeremy Harding, Curtis Richardson, Austin Leeds, David Kennedy & the legendary Jerry ‘wonder’ Duplessis. He has also written for many other artists such as Tami Chynn, Wayne Marshall, the late Bunny Rugs of Third World, Maya Azucena & more.
The masterfully penned ‘Keep On’, earned Cezar the honor of being the first Jamaican to have a song endorsed & licensed by Coca-Cola International, who used it as part of their Beijing Olympics campaign. He has contributed to smash records like Sean Paul’s multi-platinum ‘Trinity’ album & been honored by ASCAP Pop Music and Rhythm & Soul music awards categories for credits on Tinashe’s hit ‘2 On’.
He has been covered by major local newspapers and local & international magazines and TV networks including BETJ , VH1 Soul, Centric, Tempo, The Fader, Riddim Mag, L3 Magazine, Posh, MACO & more.
