Growing up in Charlotteville, Tobago, with creative people all around the community. CG was exposed to music and art at an early age.
His hunger and drive to pursue music grew when he started playing drums with a local band called Dirt Inc. From there, he moved on to play bass for a gospel group called Sentinels and, some years later, was very instrumental in forming a new gospel group called Voices of Israel.
In 1995, CG migrated to Ontario, Canada, and took some time away from his music to pursue other things. However, after a trip back to Tobago in 1999, a relative and friend encouraged him to get back into it. Upon his return to Canada, CG started the band “Colour Quest” in 2000. CG is currently the drummer and leader of this impressive group of musicians.
His musical gift has seen him appear on the Trinidad and Tobago national teen talent show. He has performed with and alongside some of the Caribbean musical greats, such as Carl Alleyne, Beres Hammond, Richie Spice, Inner Circle, Shurwayne Winchester, David Rudder, George Nooks, and many others.
CG possesses a unique style of delivering music, which has made him a favourite among music fans. His vocal presence has a character that enhances his style of production.
He sees himself as a multidimensional artist, songwriter, and music producer. With many releases under his belt and many more to come, CG is undoubtedly poised to leave his creative signature on the musical landscape.
