Chameleon Dream

We are two progressive rock musicians from the UK still pursuing our love of music. We've been playing for decades, but in 2020 we decided to release our own material. We are predominantly instrumental and released 26 songs split across two albums; 13 on our first album Grey Hinterland in 2020, and 13 released gradually under the album "Hidden in Plain Sight".

Grey Hinterland combines moody soundscapes and ambience with occasional heavy riffs. Hidden in Plain Sight sees us move in to heavier territory with the use of extended range guitars, beefier riffs, and higher tempos. We record and mix all our music ourselves, and we are forever learning. We have gradually invested in new equipment and we hope you can hear the improving recording quality with each successive release.

In January 2023 we were delighted when vocalist <a href="spotify:artist:7hTqB4NJPpLi3sJt6qAlGD" data-name="Isis Deardon">Isis Deardon</a> agreed to work with us. We released a cover of Army Dreamers by <a href="spotify:artist:1aSxMhuvixZ8h9dK9jIDwL" data-name="Kate Bush">Kate Bush</a>, followed by a second cover of the classic <a href="spotify:artist:6FXMGgJwohJLUSr5nVlf9X" data-name="Massive Attack">Massive Attack</a> song, Teardrop. She has also agreed to work with us on original material too. It&#39;s an exciting time for us as our musical journey evolves!

As more info, we&#39;ve been musicians for over 20 years, starting at university. We&#39;ve played live many times (including supporting <a href="spotify:artist:7MhMgCo0Bl0Kukl93PZbYS" data-name="Blur">Blur</a> once!), but now focus on songwriting. We&#39;re influenced by lots of bands and genres, but love artists like <a href="spotify:artist:4Z8W4fKeB5YxbusRsdQVPb" data-name="Radiohead">Radiohead</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7bu3H8JO7d0UbMoVzbo70s" data-name="The Cure">The Cure</a>, Tool, <a href="spotify:artist:0k17h0D3J5VfsdmQ1iZtE9" data-name="Pink Floyd">Pink Floyd</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6Ghvu1VvMGScGpOUJBAHNH" data-name="Deftones">Deftones</a>, Porcupine Tree, and Karnivool.
